The idea for this video came from the realization of a certain similarity in the faster runs or lines of Guthrie Govan and Nick Johnston. After studying both their techniques you realize that a lot of their faster type of runs really do sound fairly similar. So I decided to construct a lick based on the 3 2 1 2 1 permutation that I mention in my "Nick Johnston Guitar Techniques and Concepts" video. The lick starts with that permutation and then moves down the A Dorian scale until it finds the permutation again in the fourth string. Only to finish and the end of a scalar run on the 5th string.
I hope you guys enjoy and apply the lick.
